About us: 

Hi, I'm Christopher Thompson-chef and owner of North Shore Catering. I came to Grand Marais during a tough time in my life, looking for a fresh start and I found it here in this amazing community. Cooking has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was a kid learning from my Grandpa. Over the years, I've worked in kitchens from burger joints, universities, Farm to Table where I trained under a James Beard Award winning chef. These days, my style is all about rustic seasonal food - grilled meats, fresh produce and meals that bring people together. I am also proud to be in recovery, and I credit this place and its people for giving me a second chance. Now I get to give back, one meal at a time.
